Elton John will be in concert at Baths of Caracalla, in Rome, on 12 july 2015 .
This is a bona fide event which will become part of the Summer Season of the Teatro dell’Opera, together with Puccini, Roberto Bolle and more. An event which will win over an audience somewhat different from the usual operagoers. But this is exactly the goal of this year’s programme at Caracalla: to put together popular performances of cultural excellence,in this case, the great music of Elton John and his band.
Elton John – remarked Carlo Fuortes – the superintendent of the Teatro dell’Opera, is one of the greatest and most revered rock musicians of all time. His music has interpreted and marked the last fifty years of our history like few others. It is an honour for us to have him perform in the magnificent Baths of Caracalla, a setting which englobes all types of music transforming it into a truly unforgettable experience.
